Finally. We're starting this fall's processing 41 days later this year than last year. Nearly 6 weeks later! Remarkable... lot's of great help as usual. Alcohol levels in the wines will be lower this year, but the flavors will likely be more intense.

We walked the vineyards of three of our growers today in the Yakima Valley. Nicer people you will not meet. Even though processing will be much later this year, the fruit looks great. Looks like we will finally get started next week. Anybody interested in foot stomping (...well, kind of), let us know. |

| American wines have struggled for decades to earn the same status and respect as their European cousins. But in the recent decades, wineries in other parts of the world have begun to rise to prominence, particularly on America’s west coast. In the recent past California has been the star of the show for America's wine industry. But now, the state of Oregon has risen to a world-class wine growing region. |
