Wine Description: 45 Passion is a sweet, port-style dessert wine, also known as a fortified wine. This style of wine is made by adding neutral spirits halfway through fermentation. The added alcohol stops fermentation while the wine is still sweet and increases the alcohol level to 18 to 20 percent. Dessert wines can be made from different types of grapes, and Gilstrap Brothers wine making team has chosen to use the Syrah grape for their signature dessert wine. Strong and sweet, ports-style wines are usually served after dinner in small glasses. We suggest pairing 45 Passion with rich, dark chocolate, cheesecake and caramel and nutty desserts.
